Surrounded by a nature preserve and an old abandoned apple orchard, relaxed simplicity was the motto while working on this 4+ acre setting. In conjunction with the clients, their Architect and their design team, the Landscape Architect assisted in siting the residence and designing the outdoor rooms in an effort to minimize disturbances, restore natural systems and provide a logical visual extension with the adjoining conservation area and riding trails. Drawing on the site’s unique qualities and surrounding environment, a seamless transition from Architecture to Landscape was achieved.
