Landscape Architectural Assistant

Award winning, growing, fast-paced landscape architectural office specializing in hi-end residential, municipal, commercial and campus planning has an opening for a landscape architectural assistant with 0-5 years experience.  BLA or MLA required. 

The Landscape Architectural Assistant performs routine landscape architectural assignments under the supervision of one or more senior staff. The LAA produces work from the designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, and prepares architectural plans and renderings.

Strong technical skills and acumen, team leadership and client relations skills are required.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Understanding of the Landscape Architectural design process including programming, planning, design development, construction documents and overall project execution

  • Continuously collaborate with internal team members;

  • Develop and express concepts accurately and rapidly to meet deadlines;

  • Attend client meetings in-house and at client sites;

  • Prepare initial site inventory and analysis, mapping and graphically represent preliminary materials to project team;

  • Maintain positive communications and work with colleagues and clients;

  • May have responsibility for writing architectural specifications;

  • Product research skills, consult manufacturers and evaluate materials;

Key Skills:

  • Experience with AutoCAD required plus knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. Revit and Lumion a plus.

  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work independently and as part of an effective team, while effectively and gracefully handling changing and evolving directives;

  • Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills;

  • Highly-motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
